On Sunday, 22nd March 2026, The School held its annual Initiation Ceremony for S.1 and S.5 students — a cherished tradition now proudly in its 24th consecutive year. The new students took their oaths, committing to uphold the school's rules and regulations, maintain high standards of discipline, and strive for excellence in their academic performance.
The Oath
Kabale Diocese Vicar General, Msgr. John Vianney Sunday, guided the students through the three pillars of an oath, reminding them of the weight and responsibility their promises carry:
- Truth – Remain true to your vows and fulfill what you have promised.
- Judgement – Keep in mind that there are consequences for breaking your oath.
- Justice – Let your oath guide you to be fair and just towards others.
Rewarding Excellence
The ceremony also served as an occasion to honour the top performers of the 2025 UCE and UACE examinations. Assistant Director Ms. Scholastic Kyomugisha congratulated the finalists and their teachers for sustaining the school's strong academic reputation, while challenging current S.4 and S.6 students to raise the bar even further. Chief Guest and Inspector of Schools for Kabale Municipality, Ms. Agnes Asiimwe, commended Nyabikoni S.S. for consistently upholding academic excellence and discipline, and for proudly representing Kabale Municipality's educational brand.
A Legacy in the Making
In a landmark announcement, Executive Director Rev. Fr. Christopher Busingye revealed plans to open Jack and Jil Annex School in Bubare Town Council — an affordable boarding institution aimed at extending quality education to his home community at only Shs. 200,000 per term. He also confirmed that next year, Nyabikoni S.S. will celebrate its Silver Jubilee, marking 25 years of transforming lives through education — a milestone that reflects the school's remarkable growth into one of the largest and most respected secondary schools in Kabale District.
Congratulations to all newly initiated students. Welcome to the Nyabikoni family — now go and excel! 🎓
